I am very lucky, I am blessed.” Messi celebrated this moment with friends, teammates, and family.
Christiano Ronaldo, rival to Messi, came in 3rd place and was not there to see Messi win his award. Ronaldo did not attend the ceremony knowing that he didn’t even get on the podium. To Give Me Sport, Ronaldo said, “But I think I have to have six or seven or eight to be above him. I’d love it, I think I deserve it.”
